Managing Director of Fairwinds Landing

Mr. Hopkins is the Managing Director of Fairwinds Landing and has overall responsibility for the project. Mike has over 35 years of experience in various aspects of maritime business. He started his career as a U.S. Navy Supply Corps officer. Mike left the Navy after earning his law degree and joined a large Washington DC law firm specializing in maritime transportation and logistics. Mr. Hopkins left private practice to become General Counsel at Maersk Line, Limited, the U.S. flag subsidiary of A.P. Moller-Maersk. While at Maersk, Mike expanded his portfolio of responsibilities culminating in leading their U.S. flag business unit, which consisted of over 25 container and roll on/roll off vessels. In 2016, Mr. Hopkins joined Mr. Miller to pursue new maritime projects and has been leading the Fairwinds Landing project since it began nearly two years ago.
